LMHC
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, an evidence-based approach designed to help individuals manage emotional dysregulation and reduce unhelpful behavioral patterns. Having spent over a decade on the other side of the therapy chair, I deeply understand the courage it takes to seek support and the transformative power of a safe, validating therapeutic space.
In my work, I bring deep empathy, sensitivity, and nonjudgmental support to every client. I have experience working with diverse populations, including children, teens, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, emotional dysregulation, trauma, and substance use. I also have a special commitment to supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. My approach is grounded in cultural humility and a deep respect for each person’s unique background, lived experiences, and identity. I recognize that mental health is influenced by systemic barriers, societal pressures, and personal history, and I tailor my approach to meet each person’s specific needs.
I am especially passionate about dismantling the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. In a world that often expects men to suppress their emotions, I strive to provide a therapeutic space where they can openly explore their feelings, process challenges, and develop healthier coping strategies. I empathize that there is a weight of societal expectations on men’s emotional well-being, and I work to normalize vulnerability, self-expression, and self-compassion. As a person-centered therapist, I believe in each person’s capacity for growth, self-discovery, and healing. My approach looks beyond symptoms to see the whole person—their experiences, relationships, values, and aspirations—allowing for meaningful and transformative care.
