Florence Chiang is a licensed social worker in New York who draws from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including strengths-based approaches, mindfulness, narrative therapy, relational therapy, cognitive behavioral interventions, and play therapy. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their inner world, cultivate self-awareness, and find their authentic voice.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Boston University and earned her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Social Work at Long Island University, where she combines clinical practice with research to further enhance therapeutic approaches.

Specializing in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, Florence helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, codependency, emotional and behavioral difficulties, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and life transitions. She has a deep background in working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, gender nonbinary, and non-conforming, and people living with HIV.

Believing in the uniqueness of every individual, she rejects a one-size-fits-all approach, tailoring each therapeutic experience to the needs and strengths of the client. With a collaborative and compassionate style, she fosters a space of respect, empowerment and growth and helps clients navigate their personal journeys towards healing, resilience, and self-discovery.
